One of the things I really enjoyed about the caramel glass sheets were the shadows created by the nature of the caramel solidifying with a slight ripple in the surface.

Here is an example of some of the fantastic light qualities created by the caramel. Calling it "glass" seemed to be fitting in more than it just being transparent, but it greatly resembled stained glass in its light reflection.

This week I also began developing what I called the Flame Cake, after pouring caramel into a small flower shaped pan and letting it drip out upside down and it created this caramel form.

From this I developed a quick sketch of a cake inserted into a form similar to this.

Another aspect of the caramel I was experimenting with was its ability to stick to itself. I began melting parts of the glass sheets and trying to attach them to other pieces. I also had the idea of putting apertures into the glass sheets so as to add areas where light could go though it completely; Here are some images showing those ideas:
