Sept. 18-22

This week was spent mostly preparing for a pinup presentation on Monday, September 25th. I edited photographs I had taken from my early exploration into caramel to put on the walls showing my ideas about how caramel as an element could be a structural display piece. This is one side of the from I entitled, Dome.

This caramel form is called Duck, as it's less subtle curve didn't look as elegant to me, but it still suggested a sitting bird of some kind.

Here is the other angle of Dome, showing the interior condition.

Here is the caramel swirl I had been working to perfect since September 4th.

This is another angle of the swirl.

I titled this form Ripple, as it was an exploration in trying to manipulate the surface of the caramel as it was cooling.
