JULIA GOFORTH

WITCHDUCK BAY COURT
This project focused upon a total revival and updating of a one acre lot in Witchduck Point neighborhood. The home had a new family move in the Fall of 2021 that wanted to bring the property up to date as well as add their own personal touch to the landscaping.

Before:
Original Landscaping
Most of the plant material was large and over-pruned since it was originally installed in the early 2000's. The color pallet was limited to shades of green and featured large plantings of liriope groundcover. The new owners wanted more color, softer textures, and plants that reflected living close to the water.
Original Features
While most of the plant material was opted for removal, a mature Pin Oak Tree on the hill in the backyard was a key feature that would stay. The front yard also had an old non-functioning koi pond and water feature that would be re-designed as a dry riverbed focal point to the front foundation.
