JULIA GOFORTH

DOUGHERTY COURT
This project was completed in three phases; Front Yard Foundation, Backyard Japanese Bird Garden, & Sunken Pond Garden. Phases four and five are currently in the design stage.

01
Phase One: Front Foundation
This is your Project description. Provide a brief summary to help visitors understand the context and background of your work. Click on "Edit Text" or double click on the text box to start.
02
Phase Two: Japanese Bird Garden
The hope for this garden was to take a muddy and unused section of the back yard between the pool and guest house, and turn it into a quite place for bird watching or a pleasant way to pass though the back gate.

03
Phase Three: Sunken Pond Garden
Inspired by the Sunken Gardens at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, this at-home study worked to recreate the tranquil space and attract various small wildlife and insects to the garden.
04
Phase Four: Moss Garden
Phase four will feature a babbling brook with three small waterfalls that spill into a small pool. The surrounding garden is filled with shade loving plants and a curing stepping stone pathway where moss will be encourage to grow and cover all the rocks and paths.

05
Phase Five: The Greenhouse
Phase five includes a Greenhouse with accompanying courtyard and edibles for enjoyment. Including several fruit trees and space for raised garden beds.
